The new 3-story Patient Care Addition at Aria Health - Torresdale Campus includes over 50 new patient beds, designed to allow growth of the facility and the first phase of a multi-year expansion of services at the facility. The new addition includes a new Observation Unit, EPS Lab, Inpatient Care Units, Nuclear Medicine, and support space for the Heart Center.
The Observation Unit is on the ground floor of the Patient Care Addition, and includes 23 new patient observation beds. The patient rooms are designed for patient privacy and comfort, and a new dedicated patient transport elevator connects to the new inpatient units above. The Observation Unit allows greater flexibility in the use of the Emergency Department.
The Inpatient Units are on the First and Second floors of the Patient Care Addition, and include 32 new inpatient private beds. The patient rooms are designed with Nurse Servers in each room, including handwashing sinks, and secured charting and medication drawers. The rooms also feature a combination wardrobe/TV unit, window seats, and recliner guest chairs.
