Construction Cost | $7.5 Million

Designed by Cross Castner Architects, Charles Cross: Principal
The new 3-Story Cardiac Surgery Addition at Doylestown Hospital is part of the overall Cardiology / Radiology Master Plan and includes backfill renovations of the existing facility and utility upgrades to supply the new facility. The addition includes two new Cardiac Open Heart Operating Rooms and Support Space, and the MRI suite with File Room space below. The MRI Suite includes a new Radiology Department Lobby and Registration Area, as well as a new CT Scanner.
The CT Scanner was designed to replace the existing equipment and re-orient the room to optimize space for the Control Console. As the existing room would be out of commission during construction, the project was designed for a fast turnaround. The entire CT Suite was ready for equipment installation after only two weeks of construction, with finishing details completed after the equipment was installed. The custom backlit ceiling mural is a Bucks County scene designed to be viewed from any angle.
