The Heart Center at Doylestown Hospital includes the Cardiothoracic Surgery Operating Room Addition, the Cardiac Cath Labs, the 7-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, and a 14-bed step-down monitored Nursing Unit.
The Cardiac Catheterization Labs include 2 bi-plane Cath Labs, adjacent Control Rooms, Equipment Rooms, Locker Rooms, Utility Rooms, Office, and Physician Reading Room areas. The Cath Labs are designed for Endovascular surgery and meet surgical standards for size, finishes, and utilities. A custom backlit ceiling mural above the table is to be installed, and interior design creates a warm background for the high-tech equipment.
The round lobby acts as an orientation area including a Reception Desk and entrances to the Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac ICU and Waiting Areas. The round walls feature a custom ceramic tile mural designed for the Heart Center.
The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit features private ICU Rooms, which include home-like finishes designed to allow the rooms to be fully sterilized. Each room has a private bathroom with shower as part of the "One-Stop" Cardiac Program.
