The new Emergency Department at Mercy Suburban Hospital includes a new addition, which wraps around the existing Hospital and provides new ER capacity, Support space, and a CT Scan Suite to serve the expanded department. The existing Entrance and Triage areas were redesigned for easier access and to accomodate the increased patient visits.
The new Surgery Department includes a new addition with 2 new multi-purpose O.R.s and the renovation of 4 other existing O.R.s. The Pre-Op and Recovery areas were redesigned for easier staffing and a better patient experience for the Outpatient SPU. The project was phased so that no reduction in O.R. capacity was required during construction.
